50% off Premium Organic Cotton Socks

Comfortable socks come from happy hands.

Do you know how your socks are made? Neither do your socks, and even if they did, they're probably still too traumatized to talk about it. That's because conventional socks are yanked out of dirty GMO cotton fields where they are drenched in pesticides and petrochemicals before getting stretched-out and stitched-up in sweatshops.

On the other foot, Maggie's Organics make their Fair Trade and Organic cotton socks right here in the U.S.A. Just order a pair and they won't stop bragging to your feet about how they spent a pleasant childhood as fluffy little cotton balls basking in a chemical-free field. Unlike conventional socks, Maggie's are organic and Fair Trade certified. That means better working conditions for the growers, harvesters, knitters and dyers. Just don't be surprised after a little footamorphisis in these comfy chrysalises when you start to float like a butterfly.

Meet the Founder: Bena Burda

Since 1992, Maggie's Organics has been on a mission to produce and provide comfortable, durable, affordable and beautiful articles of apparel. Founder Bena Burda was working with an organic corn farmer in Texas to improve the quality of his blue corn crop for the tortilla chips she was marketing at the time. The farmer decided that adding cotton into his three year organic crop rotation would improve his corn yields. His experiment worked, and also provided him with 200 acres of certified organic cotton, which he expected Bená to sell. After researching cotton, and learning that this one crop is grown on 3-5% of the world’s cultivated land, and yet uses nearly 10% of the world's pesticides and 25% of the world's insecticides, we committed ourselves to utilizing these 200 acres of organic cotton to tell the real story behind conventional cotton clothing.

Maggie's Organics only uses materials that restore, sustain and enhance the resources, including human, from which they are made. Maggie's Organics socks are Fair Trade Certified and support equitable hiring and employment, safe workplace conditions, and access to health, education and transportation services to their supply chain workers.
